Being at the Centre

The Workroom at the Centre is a 'shoe-free' zone, and you may want to bring indoor shoes or socks with you.

You also may want to bring a non-leaking water bottle with you to have when sitting in the group as we do not allow any 'open' drinks when we are in session.

We have a fridge, and you are welcome to bring your lunch with you, although there are many resources for lunch close buy.

The Centre is close to the Grand Union Canal and the Brent River and in good weather the tow path provides lovely walking with benches on which to have lunch.

Travel Information

Commerce Road is off Brentford High Street/London Road, and the Centre is on the righthand side of Commerce Road approaching from Brentford High Street.

For accommodation options see bottom of page.

Parking:

Parking outside the Centre is restricted to four hour sessions. There is unrestricted parking in the residential streets opposite Syon Park, 5 minutes walk from the Centre. There is also a large free car park in the centre of Syon Park, 7 minutes walk to the Centre.

To get to Syon Park take the Syon Lane turning off the A4 towards Syon Park and follow signs to Syon Park.

Do not park in the business car parks opposite the Centre. Even though they are not used at the weekends, parking tickets are likely to be issued.

Transport:

The nearest underground station is Boston Manor (Piccadilly Line), which is a 15-20 minute walk  across Boston Manor Park and along the canal, see map to the right. To download the map click here.

The simplest way is to go to Northfields Underground (Piccadilly line) and catch the E2 bus outside the station on the same side of the road as the station, and get off at Commerce Road. The E2 runs every 10 minutes.

Boston Manor is 5 stops from the centre of London Heathrow Airport, and the Piccadilly line is the main line from Heathrow to the centre of London.

There are two buses that run from outside Boston Manor station to the Centre: E8 (get off at Brent Lea), and 195 (get off at Brentford High Street).

The E2 bus also goes from Ealing Broadway Station (Central Line and some mainline routes) and passes right by Northfields Underground station (Piccadilly Line). Get off at Commerce Road.

Brentford Mainline station is about a 15 minute walk from the Centre and has trains from Waterloo.
